Problem
A healthcare partner for Mid-Atlantic medical providers needed help processing claims through their virtual application. The existing method was taking a full-time team member days and weeks to complete the processing. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) was introduced to help, but the accuracy of OCR wasn’t meeting expectations.
Solution
Working with Mind Over Machines, the healthcare partner implemented Microsoft’s AI Builder and Computer Vision models integrated with RPA services to improve the accuracy of reading claims and reduce human intervention.
Impact
More claims were able to be processed without human intervention based on the accuracy of the computer vision model. Now the human involved can focus on edge cases and process more overall claims, enabling the provider to resolve higher value claims faster.
