Discovering donor behaviors to improve engagement & retention

Problem

Shifting donor behaviors have made non-profit fundraising very difficult over the past few years. Non-profit organizations needed a new way to determine what behaviors impact giving and assess their donors at scale to ensure funding for years to come.

Solution

Using Machine Learning (ML) and AI, Mind Over Machines is able to model donor retention based on important factors related to donor behavior. The data is transformed using Microsoft’s PowerBI, then modeled using Microsoft’s AI Builder to determine the likelihood of donor churn.

Impact

By identifying at-risk donors systematically, non-profits will be able to engage donors before they leave and maintain the relationship, financial engagement, and predictability in their business.
