Challenge
Unisearch needed to improve its core offering to remain competitive, but its IT department was unable to execute management’s vision. Waldo, an online search tool tracking 10 million UCC and lien filings from 30+ states, needed to be more flexible, scalable and user-friendly. Unisearch released much of its IT staff and contacted Mind Over Machines.
Solution
Mind Over Machines swiftly took over Unisearch’s IT operations and upgraded Waldo, becaming Unisearch’s virtual IT department. Working around the clock, Mind Over Machines streamlined more than a dozen extremely large and complex databases and had Waldo live and secure on its servers in just three days. Mind Over Machines then introduced an easy-to-use interface, an automated data update process, and a per-search fee structure.
Results
The enhancements to Waldo helped Unisearch remain among the nation’s most effective providers of public records research services. Unisearch is running leaner, focusing on its core mission, and reinforcing its reputation as a premier provider of UCC filing data.
