NRAI needed its business-to-business portal to be more intuitive in order to remain competitive with larger competitors. The 1,600 pages of Private Web encompassed an increasing suite of primary and back-office services. It was outgrowing its 10-year-old architecture and needed a facelift to standardize and enhance the user experience. But NRAI couldn’t wait the many months required for a rewrite.
Solution
Mind Over Machines restructured Private Web’s information architecture, simplified site navigation, and developed an innovative page template system to control dynamic content. This creative solution gave Private Web a consistent, modern look, without requiring extensive code rewrites. Developers also created customization options such as e-mail notifications, shortcuts and alerts that provide a more personalized experience.
Results
NRAI was able to maintain its competitive edge and decrease costs, without risking complex system recoding. The more intuitive design has reduced the need for customer support and has increased user satisfaction. The portal now offers access to more than 20 tools for clients, including service of process activities and history, as well as all back-end invoicing and administrative functions.
